1440p 144hz gaming gpu/cpu good enough?

is an i7-8700k and a gtx 1070-ti good enough to run 1440p 144hz on most AAA games? I was wondering if I needed a gtx 1080(or 1080ti) to run 1440p 144hz. An i7-8700k is fine but my main concern is with the gpu.

Well, a 1080 is the same price right now. Why wouldn't you?

All comes down to what settings you want to run. A 1060 will run 144fps if you drop the settings down.

Depending on the graphics settings. To be sure, just get a GTX 1080 Ti and overclock.

To maintain 144 FPS on 1440p is quite a feat, even on Minecraft.
