Hi all
I've just bought a Dell S2719DGF gaming monitor and struggling to get it all working.
It didn't come with a DP cable, so I went and bought one, a DP 1.2 cable. When I use this and I set my monitor and Nvidia panel to 144hz I get horrible flickering. At 60Hz it's perfect.
I went back to my HDMI cable, and in windows I still have the option to use 144Hz and it is set to 144Hz, same in Nvidia, this is now on HDMI 2.0
It feels really smooth, but when I run the UFO test for refresh rates it is showing 60Hz and I don't feel like in games it has changed much. The 1440p feels smoother but I don't notice a big jump as I would expect going from 60Hz to 144Hz.
My question is, what cable do I actually need to run this at 1440p and 144Hz, and how to a fix this flickering? It feels like a cable issue to me. Drivers on my GPU and monitor are up to date.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
