So I am looking to buy a SAMSUNG LC27JG50QQUXEN Monitor as I have wanted to upgrade to 1440p and 144hz.
But I was wondering if it was worth it or if I should stick to my 1080p monitor due to my hardware or if it would still be worth the upgrade.
I should also note that in the near future I will be getting a new CPU, most likely a 7700.

Well going up in resolution the less the cpu is the bottleneck but the gpu becomes the one. 1070 should be enough to play esport games with 144Hz at 1440p and i believe you can play all the other titles at 60 or more fps but of course you have to lower the settings at some games. Monitor is an investment and you will probably keep this monitor for a long time. If you go once at 1440p 144hz then you cant go back. I believe its worth it.
