Hi, I currently upgraded to a PS4 Pro and didn't notice much of an improvement in the display. I currently have a 27 inch 1080p BenQ monitor. Because of this, I'm wanting to upgrade my monitor. I only play single player story based games (mainly RPG and 3rd person games) on my PC and multiplayer and exclusives on my PS4.

My PC specs are: Intel i5-3570k (OC to 4.3GHZ)
MSI GTX 970 4GB
Corsair XMS3 2x4GB RAM
Crucial M500 SSD 120GB
Gigabyte z77-UD3h motherboard

I do eventually plan on upgrading most of these components in the near future (including the GPU to a 1080 or the next generation equivalent) so that's something to bear in mind. However, I am unsure on whether to get a 4k 60Hz monitor or 1440p 144hz monitor. Ideally I don't want to be spending much more than £400. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not entirely sure, but I think console games are limited/locked to 60FPS regardless of the display capabilities.
Anyway, if the monitor is (also) connected to a computer for PC gaming, I'd go with 1440@144Hz.
Simply because you'd probably won't be able to notice difference between 1440p and 4K in a game. but when playing from PC, the difference between 60 and 144Hz is very noticeable in fast pace games like shooters.
Do you think the 1440p would still work well with my PS4 Pro too? If it was just for my PC only then the 1440p option seems a no-brainer, but I want to notice an improvement with the PS4 too.
