200fps+ @ 1440p is very game and settings dependent. What games are you going to be playing? Edit: I see your games. You should be able to get 144 on a few of those games. 1

With my 3700x and 2080ti @ 2560x1440 my average framerates are 110fps. This is between pretty much all recent AAA titles at max settings.

FYI: no point in going over your monitors refresh rate

After seeing your suggestion and reading a post on google about a Ryzen 7 3750X being in the works i am now wondering if maybe i should hold off for just a little while longer to see what becomes of the 3750x and too see if i might be able to get a better single core speed(hopefully 4.7 all core or up) because i noticed that they increased the TDP by 40 for that chip.

Would the Sythe Mugen 5 Rev B be a better cooler or not? In your opionion what should i do with the Crucial MX500 1TB M.2 model CT1000MX500SSD4 that i have?

I doubt AMD would cannibalize their 3800.

I don't know anything about the Mugen 5. The Be Quiet Dark rock slim is also very good and extremely quiet. The mx 500 I would add to the build as secondary storage, good for backing up data, and extra storage space. I wouldn't consider the 3800x or upcoming 3750x over the 3700x as the performance difference between the 3700x and 3800x is tiny to non-existant. If you want 12 cores go for the 3900x, if you want 8 cores go for the 3700x.
