Now I know there are a LOT of posts about this kinda stuff believe me i do.
But I'm finally getting a whole new desktop with a brand new gpu cpu monitor and all that after several years.
I've been sticking with a samsung SyncMaster B2230 which has a tn panel with a res of 1080@60hz.
Now 50%of the times i use my desktop for is to play games (ranging from indie to rpgs to fps) but im not a hardcore or competitive gamer.
Rest of the 50% is for browsing and mostly watching videos.
My specs are:
Ryzen 2700x
Galax 1070 ti
16GB hyperx fury
samsung 960 evo 500gb
WD black 1tb
ROG Strix b350-f gaming
Unexpectedly, the hardest thing i had to decide was the monitor. The samsung ch711 just barely hits the cap of my budget for a monitor, it's 1440p@60hz. Im fine with 60hz, since all these years I've never even had a chance of enjoying games near 60fps at all! 🙁 so simply being able to play at 60fps would be satisfyingfor me.But seeing how all these people say g-sync is absolutely amazing and overshadows any other cons of displays like color accuracy, I'm thinking if i should go for a 1440p@144hz with g-sync but a tn panel.
Should I stick with tn since im already used to it but get silky smooth 144hz or go for the curved samsung with a va panel and quantum dot which has superb image quaility?
