1440p 60hz vs 1080p 144hz

I want this to be my gaming monitor, around 27"....i wont be playing competitively (I am coming from a xbox360 to pc) and i will be playing games like gta 5 ...minecraft, dying light, crysis, far cry 4, and so on....what would be better for a gaming monitor, i will be getting two gtx 970s in SLI and i will be getting this monitor aswell http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160162

I would go with the 1440p monitor, ultra widescreen monitors are not well supported. Once you see how much better 1440p is you won't be able to go back to to 1080p.

I am already getting the 21:9 monitor i just need some help on a second monitor...thanks for the help but what about 140fps to 60fps? I dont know what would be better?
