1440p Future Displays

I just have a few questions for the display community to think about.

1. Do you think that there are any future 144hz + gaming monitors that are in the pipeline for release? Or do you think that companies are just strictly focused on 4k resolution now?

2. If you had to choose a 27 inch 1440p gsync display which one would it be and why?

Any input is helpful! I'm in the market for a good 1440p gsync monitor.

Because that display will probably be over $1000. I'm willing to wait until it's released to see though.

Well you didn't state a budget, but yeah it will probably be insanely expensive.

Sorry I can't be of more help! I was recently looking at monitors a fair bit, but Freesync and not 144 Hz.
