Right then people it's been a while since I've been active on here and I havent been keeping up too much with hardware of recent. Would like a setup for 1440p gaming (already have PSU, Case, Cooler, Drives etc.)

Only want recommendations for CPU & MOBO and GPU (and RAM depending if you pick a DDR4 Board or not.) please.

Would like to sit at a nice stable 60fps on high/ultra settings for most of the AAA games that will be coming out soon (e.g. BF1)

Budget is not too much of an issue but want reasonable bang for my buck. So am up for XFire/SLI if it works out better that way.

Thanks all

[Edit] forgot to say I'm from the UK and also have an OS

Solution
really depends on your PSU

Hlshsz's build is nice for little cash, if budget ain't an issue:

if money isn't an issue, I suggest going for an i7 as bf1 seemingly can use more than 4 threads:

Ok. This for the best bang/buck or the build by the poster above if you can afford it.

Parts are all here ready to be installed when I get home later (joys of amazon prime and next day pick up collection). Went 6700k in the end with a GTX1070 as I can always SLI at a later date if things get too bad. Only thing i don't like too much on the UK version of the Gaming 3 it comes with the world of tanks logo on top one of the heatsyncs so might try and find a way of hiding that somehow.

Quite happy to post some pictures later if I remember

Here's a couple of pictures of it all installed
Need to do some more cable management when I get more time at the weekend. But for now it looks good and is certainly running games like I want.

Thanks all
