Hello everyone,
I purchased a gtx 780 ti a few months ago to crush anything at 1080p, but have now upgraded to a 1440p monitor. I'm worried that I will hit a vram wall with the only 3gbs of vram. Should I be fine with just the 3gbs for a few years? I was thinking about selling the card and buying two 290x because of the 4gbs and with them being so much less expensive I could put three of them in my rig for close to the same price of two 780 tis. Do I have anything to worry about with the 3 gbs of vram and would the 290x be a better investment?
Thanks

Your just fine.... the 290x would be worth considering at 4k but not at 2560 x 1440 (or x 1600).

And theres a very important piece of info there....

There is one last thing to note with Max Payne 3: It would not normally allow one to set 4xAA at 5760×1080 with any 2GB card as it claims to require 2750MB. However, when we replaced the 4GB GTX 770 with the 2GB version, the game allowed the setting. And there were no slowdowns, stuttering, nor any performance differences that we could find between the two GTX 770s.

That very important point. Just cause a game can use > 2Gb, does in no way necessarily mean performance changes in any way.
