Hi!
I'm looking for an 1440p IPS panel for around 300$ (and I mean in Europe- the prices here are very often different than what you have in the USA). It would be great if it was an 27 inch display. I will use it for mostly Photoshop, video editing and movies, so I don't mind it being only 60 Hz (I don't even have a GPU that would keep up with this kind of resolution - 750 ti 🙁 )
I know that around 2 years ago it was almost imposible to find a screen like that but I hope that it's different nowadays.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks in advance. :)
Jacob

Thank you for the answers.
I have 1 more question. I'm moving to a new place soon and my budget depends on the deposit I'll have to pay.
Could you give me some other options for around 350 $ and for up to 400 $?

The best korean monitor (and the best overall probably at your budget) is Crossover 279QHD.
The single input (Dual-Link DVI) Qnix QX2710/X-Star DP2710 are made by the same company, use the same panels (they use at least 3 different PLS panels now) and tend to use LED PWM Dimming. The Crossover 2795 does not use LED PWM Dimming, can be overclocked and has excellent colour presets, high contrast and fast pixel response times.

However with the custom taxes the price may increase significantly.
More expensive solutions from amazon co.uk.

If you want to go even cheaper, you can buy the acer posted above, but acording to a reviewer it suffers form cross-hatching. Otherwise, there is Dell U2515H, which is fine but is smaller and uses inner bezels that ruin the percieved black depth.

Check the Crossover above. I do not know what happens with custom taxes though.
What I know, is that North Americans can buy 27" 2560x1440 Korean monitors from IPS LED Monitors who offer a 14 day Return Policy.

Check this Yamakasi Catleap. It uses an overclock-able, glossy 8 Bit LG S-IPS panel with a glossy coating for clearer and more vibrant image.

Here is a review from TH of an identical korean monitor: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/overlord-tempest-x270oc-monitor,3879.html

If you need HDMI, check here: http://www.ipsledmonitors.com/Yamakasi-Catleap-Q271-Monitor-p/yam3.htm

If you want it for office work, check this Crossover with Plasma Deposition Coating which produces the clearest text and images. It tones down blacks and contrast though, so I do not recommend it so much for games and movies. Still, it is cheaper than the others so you got that.

If yoy want to go even cheaper, then your only decent option is the Dell I posted above, which is only 25'' though.

Wow thank you! I appreciate the answer! That is a lot of info! Thanks mate
