I have a simple 11 inch dell laptop: dell latitude 3150 with inegrated intel graphics (nothing too fancy)
I want to use a 1440p Monitor for better image quality, collors etc, to enjoy movies, series, etc a bit better.
Now i know that games need to pack a strong GPU like gtx 1080 or 1080TI as a starting point to play video games on those screens,
but does this also aply for movies and series?

so can i or can i not just plug a laptop with hdmi caple into that monitor and enjoy better movie image quality,
or will the thing stutter, not render well, resolution problems.
or will the quality not be good (enough) becouse of the 3150 intel gpu and cpu?

What would be the minimum graphic card and equivelant gpu/cpu for this?

Again, not gaming. just movies.

Solution
The integrated GPU is capable of 1440, don't expect to game at that resolution, Movies should be fine.
What movies are out in 1440 beats me though. Its usually 1080 or 4k.
