I'm looking to upgrade to a 1440p. I feel it's still a little early to jump to 4K and there are only a few 4Ks over 30hz.

So I'm looking for suggestions on a good, reliable, reasonably priced 1440p monitor, as that's still almost half again as many pixels as 1080p. I'll explain a bit about what I'm looking for and leave the details to you fine folks. I'm partially colorblind, so a TN panel is probably fine, though if there's a better one available I won't complain. I don't need a super-huge (31.5) monitor. I'm perfectly happy with a 27 or even 25. My biggest concern is dead pixels and refresh rate. This is for gaming. I'd say my goal is 60% performance 40% money efficiency, so I'm not afraid to pay for quality I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount either.

I've been looking at the AOC Q2770PQU and the Asus PB278Q, are either of these (or something else) a solid choice for 1440p gaming?
