Hey,
So I'm looking for a new gaming monitor. I am looking at a 27 inch 1440p 144hz and a 1ms. I would prefer it to have Gsync.
my build is a I7 8700k and RTX 2080ti
I play games like csgo, league of legends, battlefield and many others.
I will leave a couple options below. If there are better monitors please add them and I'll debate my options. I am from the UK if it helps.
I don't know if curved makes a difference or not. price range is not an issue

Many thanks :)

I personally have the S2716DG and I love it.
Out of the box the color's and contrast aren't perfect, but with a little tweaking of the contrast and brightness in the OSD and then further calibration in the Nvidia control panel, you can get it to look better.

I should warn you though since I discovered this with my monitor and happened to run into a couple of other people on here with the same issue telling me that it wasn't just me, that with the S2716DG, there is a certain way you should set it up if you want to have the 144Hz and no weird issues with the image.

Basically you need to use a DP cable for starters, since G-Sync on that monitor won't work using HDMI.

Next, make sure that under the response time setting in the OSD that you set it to normal, if you try to set it to fast it'll cause a lot of weird ghosting.
This I believe is due to the fact that it's either meant for lower refresh rate setting, or meant for use with LMB when using HDMI and a lower refresh rate.

So do yourself a favor and just use the normal response time, believe me, it's plenty responsive this way, and I use a G602 wireless mouse.

Also when setting up G-Sync with this monitor, you have to make sure to enable it for both full screen and windowed applications otherwise you can encounter some frame sync issues when viewing content in a windowed environment.

Other than that you should be good to go with said monitor.

I used this following guide to help me get a starting point to adjusting colors and such on my monitor, however, take note that the part at the end for custom colors only applies to you if using an HDMI connection.

For DP, just set the digital vibrance to 45% and leave the hue at 0.

For me personally these exact settings did make things look a lot better, and I'm too lazy to perfect them further, but you can do what you wish for yourself.
