1440p Not an option for resolution (windows 10)

Just put together a new PC with windows 10 and i'm using Samsung S27A850T monitor which worked perfectly at 1440p with windows 7 but will now only go up to 1080p in resolution settings in windows 10. I am using a dvi cable and on board graphics with an MSI z370a-pro. I have gone into device manger and updated display drivers but 1440p is still not an option.

Any solutions?

Thanks

It is written right in the owner's manual -- 1x DisplayPort port, supports a maximum resolution of 4096x2304@24Hz, 3840x2160@60Hz, 1920x1200@60Hz

The other motherboard didn't have the same DVI limitation that your new one has.

I don't see an INF file at a reputable location for that monitor. Was it working on Win 7 with that motherboard or Win 7 and a different motherboard? It could be a limitation of the DVI port on that motherboard. AND if you read your owner's manual for that motherboard you will see that it has 1x DVI-D port, supports a maximum resolution of 1920x1200@60Hz You will have to use displayport

It was working on windows 7 with an asrock z77 extreme.

Also will the display port allow for 1440p?
thanks
