From the new nvidia update for my MSI GTX 770 TF 4gb gpu I noticed that now I can game on 2560x1440 or 2715x1527 on my 1920x1080 monitor. I know that sentence might have been confusing but I am wondering, can you actually tell a difference when you game above 1080p on a 1080p monitor?

always game at the native resolution your monitor has if you dont then things could get blurry, distorted, and stretched and in some rare occasions it could damage your monitor also you will probably see a performance drop the higher you go in resolution
