The UD28D590 uses the 28" Innolux TN Film panel that all the major manufacturers do for their 28" 4K displays (Acer, ASUS, Samsung, LG). The input lag (40ms) is extremely high despite being a TN panel. These 28" TN panels were among the first budget oriented 4K panels available and as such have lackluster performance. Namely high response/input lag, low contrast ratio, high degrees of TN color shift, poor colors, and uses PWM backlight dimming that may cause eye discomfort.

The Asus PG279Q however is a fantastic panel with all the right specifications. With two 980 Ti's, you will be able to push 100+ FPS in modern titles that support SLI. I assume your maximum budget for a display is right around ~$700, that makes the PG279Q the best...

The only other panel I would recommend for those who have 980 Ti in SLI is the Acer Predator X34 with its 21:9 3440x1440 G-Sync enabled IPS panel. But this panel is currently priced at $1300, almost double the price of the PG279Q.
