Hi All

I am looking to upgrade my monitors in both quality and resolution but I am struggling to decide on the best way forward.

In terms of what I am looking for then ideally I would like to get a 27" or bigger screen with at least a 1440p resolution and that will be suitable for both colour reproduction (primarily photoshop and illustrator) but also for some gaming when the mood strikes. I play primarily racing and fps so response time is a factor but I am not a pro, by any stretch of the imagination, so I am mindful of unnecessarily worrying due to over-reading.

Ideally I would like to keep the price under £500 and suggestions are appreciated.

If any further details are needed then let me know

This is absolutely one of the best monitors you can get at any price, and for certain the best one IMO you will find under 500 dollars. Keep in mind, a month ago these were selling for over 500 dollars and still do on some sites.

I have one, as do several others here, and to be honest they are pretty much flawless. I have not noticed ANY of the two issues outlined in the Rtings review. It also works perfect with both Gsync and Freesync.

Hi Darkbreeze. Thank you for the links and the advice on the monitor. I have looked at the review and it seems that the issue regarding gradients would be of concern to me, as the monitor will be used more for design work than gaming (roughly 70/30 split).

I think that I am going to have a bit more of a look around, with the monitor you have mentioned in mind, and see what the Black Friday Sales are saying.

Appreciate the help.
