1440p or Triple 1080p?

I am upgrading my monitor setup and was wondering if I should add 2 1080p displays onto my existing one or opt for a single 1440p monitor instead. What offers a better gaming experience? (For the games that support multi monitor). Is 1440p really that big of a difference or is triple monitor the way to go for a truly game-changing experience?

are you talking about ultra wide 3440x1440 ? if so then yes this is better than 3 monitors ...

if not three monitors are better if your monitor has almost zero bezel ...

you need to have a better graphic card as well to handel the higher resolution

No. Just a standard 16:9 ratio screen. I have a gtx 1070 which I think would be enough to power the pixels.
