[SOLVED] 1440p recommendations

Hey guys can anyone recommend me a good 1440p 144-170hz monitor. I was looking at the LG 27GL850 and the gigabyte FI27Q. I’m leaning more towards LG as it seems to have the best reviews. My budget is around $450 if anyone has any other recommendations.

it would be difficult to recommend anything without knowing more about your system.
Specifically, do you have AMD or Nvidia graphics on it?
If AMD, we would have to make sure not to recommend a G-Sync only monitor, but if Nvidia, we can pretty much recommend all G-Sync monitors and most all of FreeSync monitors.

Knowing which kind of Nvidia GPU (if you have one) can help as well.

But here is a starting point for you with a filtered list of 1440p monitors with 144hz and up refresh rates, 1ms response times, either VA or IPS panels ranging from 27 to 32 inches in size, filtered for a few select brands that I know are good, and no G-Sync options in the mix since most all FreeSync monitors work with Nvidia G-Sync these days due to driver updates.

your options increase by another 4 monitor options from what I can tell due to it being Nvidia, but honestly, you're choices should be between the following three monitors

The Acer one was chosen as an option that more or less gets you what you want at a price that saves you money.

The other two options are the more "high end" options that are going to have a bit higher level of quality control, and offer the better tuned color range support and blah blah blah with the more "gamer" aesthetic which comes down to personal preference.

I would say these three monitors are good choices and you can look into the more in depth reviews of each of them to find out some key differences to each to determine which one you would prefer.

Hopefully this helped narrow things down enough for you to a single selection.

Thanks for the recommendations, I actually ended up opting the the LG 27GL850, if I don’t like it I will return it and try one of the ones you recommended to me!
