1440p vs 144hz vs Both

What are the differences between these 3 specs, What advantages and disadvantages does each feature have.I'm running a 290x
Should I get 1440p for €300
144hz 1080p for €250
or Both for €500

I say the 1440p 60Hz monitor.

144Hz only matters if you know you can do or close to do 144 fps at the games you want to play. And the R9 290X has a great performance at higher resolution, usually beating the GTX 970 & 980 at 4K

You could also get a 4K 60Hz monitor for around the price of the 1440p 144Hz and would be much better.
