144hz 1080p monitor or 1440p/2k 60hz monitor

I play all types pf video-games, I play a lot of gta 5, league of legends, quake champions, rocket league, rise of the tomb raider, nba 2k17, battlefield 1 and more, but the problem is that I love the resolution on video games, I cannot play a video-game with low graphics and resolution, but I also see that everyone says that, 144hz is very very good, and my uncle has a tv which is 240hz/120hz and I saw the difference in movies and it was amazing compared to 60hz, tell me from your own experience.

I'd recommend 1440p if your pc can run it

I just bought the LG34UC79. Its 2560 x 1080 ultra widescreen and up to 144hz (but I'm running at 100hz as the higher refresh rate, the less bright the screen). I'm using a RX580 and all is great.

If you want 1440p, you will need a higher end graphics card to get the frame rates high enough.
