Hello

I have a problem with choosing between two types of monitors. for R9 380 +FreeSync.. From this site I chose 3 monitors from the list with the FreeSync which were within my budget.

144HZ, 1ms, TN :
Iiyama G-MASTERGB2488HSU-B2

AOC G2460PF

60 HZm, 4ms, PLS:
SAMSUNG S24E370DL

So which type of monitor will be best for R9 380 with FreeSync ? In addition, I can say that I play almost all types of games.

Regards

@@ edit: Almost forgot monitor must have a 24 ' | Budget 320 $

All AMD Radeon™ graphics cards in the AMD Radeon™ HD 7000, HD 8000, R7 or R9 Series will support AMD FreeSync™ technology for video playback and power-saving purposes. The AMD Radeon™ R9 295X2, 290X, R9 290, R9 285, R7 260X and R7 260 GPUs additionally feature updated display controllers that will support dynamic refresh rates during gaming.
the reason why the rest of the gpu doesnt support freesync is simply because they have dp 1.2 version rather than the mandatory 1.2a.

if you so eager to upgrade the AOC is a decent monitor and considering the freesync support can be used with a later amd gpu upgrade. if you already have a decent 60hz 1080p monitor , i would consider upgrading when i would switch to a better gpu first. what is your current full specs? for the samsung i dont have any info unfortunately

Thank you for your answer :)

I had not noticed that the card series R9 series are not supported 100% :O Fortunately I do not have this card yet.
About monitor. I had LG IPS224V-PN but its broken so Im using Belinea1730S1 right now :|

My specs:
CPU: i5-3470

GPU: Sapphire HD 7850 2GB OC

motherboard: MB GIGABYTE GA-B75-D3V

Power Supply: OCZ 550 ZS 80+bronze

RAM 8GB DDR3 KINGSTON HYPERX 1600 MHZ 2x4GB

HDD WD 5000AAKX SATA 3

I will need for sure new monitor and GPU. but I dont know about Power Supply and motherboard it will be ok ?

Right now Im looking for GPU with FreeSync. And Im so disapointed. Maybe some are good but most of them have about 240-300W and they are little too old or its out of my budget. I dont know what should I do now :/ Should I forget about FreeSync buy newest GPU's and normal monitor or wait when something comes up ?

you have decent hardware. why would you change your gpu to something equivalent? r9 380 cannot be considered as a worthy upgrade. i suggest you get only a monitor. i would wait for the next gen true dx12 capable gpu. your 7850 can suffice for one more year. your cpu is strong enough , your psu appears to be a decent unit , enough for mid range gpu.

Agreed that 7850/380 isn't a huge upgrade, 7850/270/370 are all the same gpu, so you're really going from a 370/380.

290/390 or waiting for the next x90/x80 equivalent will do you better, that being said I have the G-sync version of the AOC you're looking at, and it's a game changer but you need high fps/hz/settings for it to amaze, hence the faster gpu recommendation.
