144hz -> 60hz

So I just started getting this problem.
My monitor have been running smooth forever (around 2-3 years), but yesterday it started to only run 60hz, both in Nvidia Control Panel it is set to 144hz and in my display settings aswell, but it still only runs 60hz. I am using the same cable as I have always been using, so it shouldnt be a cable problem either, any help?

Have you tried a different cable and tried switching ports on your GPU (if applicable)?
