Hi, i read bunch of discussions about that but still not figure what to do. In 2 days i'll receive a 1080ti and i have to choise 1 of these 2 used monitor:
- LG 24gm77-b 1080p 144hz for 160€ shipped
- dell s2417dg 2k 165hz sync 310€ shipped

I'm sure dell is technical superior but my doubts are... 150€ are worth for 2k and 165hz gsync? Do i really need G-Sync with a 1080ti or a full HD 144hz normal is just enough?
I read gsync work most when games rin under refresh rate, so if a game run for example at 100-110fps in 144hz non gsync monitor, did i get micro-lag/stutter?
Was thought also about fast-sync...! My main games usually are LOL, some 1st person shotter not competitive (rare times play OW), rpg and platform.
Thanks in Advance for any tips

If pushed I'd go for the LG, 2K is really too high a resolution for a 24" display, a lot of ingame text and some HUD items will be too small to see quickly unless you have better than 20/20 vision.
Yep, Gsync only really comes into its own below 60FPS when it is much smoother than normal Vsync.
I'm running a GTX1080 on a Freesync enabled 144Hz display and find the best options are to set Vsync to ON in the Nvidia Control Panel and OFF in the game options, settings that should work very well with the LG panel.
Be very aware the LG panel isn't top of the line, it's a TN display and has a pretty poor colour gamut of <>75%, low even for a gaming display.
Where do you live? Maybe we can find, or suggest, a better alternative.
