144hz Computer Bottleneck

I Bought a BenQ XL2411P Monitor with a 144hz Refresh Rate but in my games, I cant hit 144 fps I don't know what the bottleneck is, my setup is an Intel Core i5 7600k, GTX 1060 6gb, and 8gb of ram. if anyone knows whats going on

CPU and graphics card. You will need to turn down settings to achieve 144fps in graphically heavy games. Games that are very optimized or less demanding will probably hit 144 like Overwatch, Doom, Counterstrike, etc.
