144hz+gtx 1050ti problem

So my current monitor is 60hz with hdmi cable , and i ordered a 144hz monitor, will it work with gtx 1050 ti? just with hdmi cable or will i get still low fps because of the hdmi cable? Do i have to get some converter hdmi>dvi to get higher fps does this work?

Any fps increasing?

The HDMI cable shouldn't be the problem...
Try updating your drivers for a start.
If that doesn't work reply back and I will supply further assistance

HDMI cables don't support refresh rates higher than 75Hz at 1080p.

You need either a DVI-D or a DisplayPort cable to get 144Hz to work.
