Hi,
I have a Samsung LC24FG70FQE monitor: https://www.samsung.com/sg/monitors/gaming/curved-monitor-24-inch-lc24fg70fqexxs/ It supports 1080P at 144hz.
When I connect the monitor via a DisplayPort, the refresh rate is automatically set to 144hz.
But if I use an HDMI 2.0b cable (which supports 1080P 240hz), the screen refresh rate is automatically set to 120hz. If I go into the display settings, Nvidia control panel or use the physical buttons on my monitor to try to change the refresh rate, the maximum rate they offer is always 120hz (ie. the 144hz option does not appear in the windows display settings, Nvidia control panel or on the monitor itself)
If using DisplayPort:
If using HDMI 2.0b:
System: Win10 Pro
CPU: i7-9700K
GPU: RTX 2080 ti
Any idea why I can't get 144hz using an HDMI cable? Much appreciated.
