144hz monitor help please

Hello guys i was wondering if i brought a 144hz monitor but some of my games don't run above 144fps will it still seem smooth or will it be choppy? thanks

Well. That really depends on the GPU you will be using and also the resolution at which you will be playing. 144hz is the refresh rate for the monitor screen. It will refresh that fast but the data transferred to it from the GPU has to be at that rate. Probably it will be okay.

I will be using the gtx 750ti at 1080p how does that sound?

I don't think GTX 750Ti would be powerful enough to handle a 144hz monitor for games at high resolution. If you had a GTX 780 or GTX 970 even would have been better.
