Hi guys! I currently have a three monitor set up where I have a 144hz and two 60 hz monitors.

They all work great! BUT let's say I'm playing a game on my 144hz, well it will be at 144hz! Until I put a stream/video/etc on another monitor. Having the video play on the 60hz monitor causes my 144hz monitor to cap at 60 fps. The second I either close the video out or move it to the 144hz monitor, the monitor will return to 144fps.

Solution
Ya want the best (gaming) monitor connected connected to your primary port on the GFX card via DVI or DP. Save HDMI for the weakest monitor and HDMI.
I don't believe you can set different refresh rates on the same card with 3 monitors ... at least I have seen "max of 2" stated here. Also use DVI cables for both and don't mix HDMI on the card ... again, that's from other postings here. You could plug one monitor into the MoBo w/ IGP if system is capable.

I have my three monitors; 144hz and two 60hz. My 144hz monitor uses a display port cable while my other two 60hz use dvi. My current card is a gtx 780 which supports up to four monitors, z87 mobo. Running three monitors with two different refresh rates would make sense that there would be issues. I suppose manually limiting the 144hz to 120hz (multiple of 60hz) could potentially solve the issue(I could overclock it to 180hz, but so far that seems buggy with all my displays). However, I would call this more of a inconvenience than an issue, I would simply not have a video displayed on the 60hz if i didn't want to cap my 144hz monitor. However I want to clearly state that I am not using eyefinity(?), as in I am gaming only on one monitor, not across them all.

oops! Sorry. I actually have not tried connecting my acer predator to IGP via HDMI. However, I thought that using HDMI with 144hz wasn't ideal and that display port is the way to go? The HDMI cable that came with my monitor is rather short(1f?), assuming that it is actually HDMI 1.3 It still wouldn't reach. The other HDMI cables I have are older, probability 1.2, which as mentioned I think aren't good with 144hz?
