Hi, I want to buy a 144hz monitor but I dont know if my GTX 660 would support G-Sync and 144hz gaming. I am also planning on upgrading my GPU but currently I dont have enough money to buy both the monitor and the GPU. So, what do you think? I know that whatever I buy (the monitor or the GPU), I will not be able to enjoy the full capability of it until I buy the other one. But, what should I buy first? I also have a i7 7700k, 16gb ddr4 2400mhz and a Maximus VIII Ranger.

Solution
The 660 isn't powerful enough to run high refresh gaming.
I would then say upgrade to a 1070/ti, but can't... now's not a good time to shop graphics cards, and no one knows when the prices will come down.

On the other hand, you could check ebay for used 980/ti(performs similar to a 1070).
THEN you can do the monitor. But I wouldn't do it the other way around.
