A few days ago I got the Asus VG248QE 144hz monitor. I connected the monitor with a DVI cable that came with the monitor. I turned on 144hz through the Nvidia control panel. A few days later, yesterday, I bought another one of these and set that one up. On this new monitor, I used a DisplayPort to DVI adapter and then used the DVI cable that came with the monitor. When I went to the Nvidia control panel to change the hertz to 144, there was only the 60hz option. How do I fix this?

Solution
Is the DP adapter have a Dual link DVi?

im assuming you are using DVI dual link that came with the monitor.

not possible to go straight DP to DP?

also if you are using windows by going to the graphics properties they is also a way to change the Hertz thats normally how i change mine.

@Orgie

The adapter I use is http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=&cs=04&sku=470-AAOV&dgc=ST&cid=293344&lid=5616479&acd=12309152537461010&ven1=sE1inYhPj&ven2=,

I am using the cord that came with the monitor.

I don't have a DisplayPort cable.

I don't know where to find "Graphics Properties" ;-;
