Got MSI GS70 Stealth Pro, playing mostly League of Legends on it ( +- 200fps ). Bought new AOC G2460 144hz freesync but only managed to use 144hz in windows mode or normal tasks, not games. League runs at 60hz for some reason.

+ Laptop monitor died and I'm using the monitor as primary one. For some reason I don't have nvidia menu OR at least 90% of it. Just some PhysX settings wich show that the monitor is connected to integrated GPU but not the GTX 870M one.

I use mini display port. Any thought on how I could make it use it's 144hz on gaming?

Thanks!

LoL has a frame limiter in the settings, you turned that up past 60 right?

If it's still a problem you can try running in borderless windowed mode, then it should be the same as on the desktop.

The situation with the NVIDIA control panel is a result of NVIDIA Optimus which switches to integrated graphics when not under load to save battery. This is known to cause problems with external monitors though as they do not react well to having the GPU changed while the connection is live. The laptop may have an option to turn Optimus off and use the dedicated GPU full time in the BIOS, but it depends if the manufacturer decided to provide that option or not.

Yes it's set on uncapped fps and also am running it on windowed mode. I'm thinking to get CSGO where you can set hz in menu to test if it works.
