im wondering what would be a better option get a regular 144hz monitor without free sync or get a 75hz freesync monitor? 144hz freesync monitor is a bit to spendy for me atm but a regular 144hz monitor without freesync is an option. which one would you reccomend?

Get a standard 144hz monitor.
Freesync is not useful unless you have anything less than a 970 in terms of graphical power, in which case you probably shouldn't even be considering a 144Hz monitor, going for a new GPU instead! 😱
Get the BenQ XL2411Z or the Asus VG248QE, whichever is cheaper, as they use the exact same panel.
Comes down to aesthetics really! :)

If you want to save $50, but still want 144hz get this: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1073477-REG/acer_um_fg6aa_b01_gn246hl_bbid_24_3d_ready.html

970? freesync is only for amd gpu's which i have a r9 390. i decided to go with the 75hz freesync monitor i dont plan on upgrading my gpu anytime soon

so you would reccomend a 144hz non freesync over the 75hz freesync monitor?

honestly it depends on the kind of games you play. if you play a lot of AAA titles that make your FPS go all over the place and hate tearing then go for a 75Hz. if you are currently fine and can run more than 60Hz with your settings then go for a 144Hz monitor.

also if the 75Hz monitor is IPS... then another point to it.

There aren't any freesync IPS 75Hz 1080p monitors that I know of, there's an AOC one, and a viewsonic, which are both TN.
144hz with a R9 390 is what you want, it can max most stuff at 1080p 60FPS no prob, and on those less demanding titles it makes a world of difference.

It is the same model without Freesync and a slightly larger screen size.
The Freesync variant you have listed simply isn't available in the US from what I can find.

It came out in May, so maybe it is not available yet. the one you sent is the older version. damn US, it is available here in Asia as well even cheaper than UK.
