I wouldn't go with a 23" screen, try 27". Here are two options that are under 200$ and are 1080p 144Hz

One is freesync the other is gsync. There really is no difference in performance of the two, the only difference is price.

I would go with a 24" screen. Pixel density @ 27" 1080p is too low, plus I just feel like a 27" screen is too big for computer gaming at typical distances on a computer desk. You will get sucked into the middle of the screen of a 27" monitor and loose your peripheral vision for things like HUD elements and to some extent movement.

I would even suggest that a 24" 2k screen is more appropriate for gaming than a 27" 2k screen. Even though at that pixel density, text and desktop elements will be very small.

Plus pixel density is the main factor in what makes things look good, 24" 1080p is ~90 pixels per inch, 27" 1080p is ~77 ppi, huge difference there.

Further, 24" 1440p is ~122 ppi, and 27" 1440p is ~109 ppi. 122 ppi looks GOOD. I had a 24" 1440p monitor and it was great for a while, but they're hard to find and this one had green pixels popping up.

For what it's worth, I'm getting a 24" 1080p 240hz monitor, mainly because I can't find a 24" 1440p 144hz monitor that will be here before december.

i don't want to buy this spectre brand monitor cuz don't know that much about this monitor. and acer design isn't that good :/
