Hi Guys, So I am just about to order my 3rd asus VG248QE monitor YAY.... at the moment I have 2 6970's and im sure it goes without saying what a waste of monitors with those old cards lol so for Christmas I am getting myself a GTX 980 probably the ASUS but still undecided...
So My question is will this 1 card run the 3 monitors to their full potential in BF4?

PC is
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Motherboard R2.0
AMD FX-8350 8 Core Processor
ASUS RAIDR Express 240GB PCI-E SSD For Gaming
Samsung 840 EVO Series 1TB SSD For Windows
G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9Q-16GBXL (4x4GB) DDR3

ok so idea number 2 then seeing that one just blew outta the water LOL

Computer 1 - will now stay as is
at the moment I have a computer with 1 x 144mhz monitor and a ASUS ML249 next to it, running FX-8350 and a R9 290x

computer 2
at the moment I have a computer with 1 x 144mhz monitor a ASUS ML249 one side and on the other a VERY OLD basically stuffed screen with dead pixels lol, running FX-8350 and 2 x 6970's.
I really want this computer to have 3 screens for Iracing mainly, and a new GPU for BF4 as the old 690's are getting a bit old and slow.

So possibly my best solution may be to buy another screen to replace the stuffed third screen run Iracing with 3 screens and BF4 only on the 144mhz with the new GTX 980.

I usually dont run BF4 on ultra anyway only medium/high cause there is to much distracting shit around lol, so maybe at med/low ill get the FPS im looking for...

Coming from a recent upgrade on iRacing from 60 FPS to 144 FPS, I disagree with that comment. You WILL absolutely notice it. Very much worth the upgrade. I chose to upgrade to 1x 144hz monitor vs 3x 60hz monitors in iRacing. Too much horsepower (SLI hiccups as well) required to run 3x 144HZ monitors and was curious about this higher FPS debate. It's BUTTERY smooth at 144 FPS.

I run a EVGA GTX 980 on a benQ 144hz 27" and max out iRacing (with additional nvidia inspector AA settings for better quality). Getting 120-144 FPS easy. Assetto Corsa nearly maxed out AA at 144 FPS as well.

ok so I ended up going with 2 x GTX 980 gigabyte cards and the 3 asus VG248QE

I have all 3 screens plugged into dp ports in card 1 but I can only seem to get 1 to work.
as I am new to nvidia i am wondering if someone can help me getting this to work I have done a LOT of googling and the only thing I found that everyone seemed to say was get drivers 344.80 so I have done that but still no luck

When I go to configure SLI,Surround,Physx it shows screes (3 of 3) Green in DP port 1 as green and the other 2 are greyed out. If I try to span displays with surround it says my screens arent the same resolution if I try anyway the computer freezes for a while then crashes

When I go to setup multiple displays I can see all 3 screens but am unable to tick the other 2 to get them working. It is the same in windows.

In manage 3d settings > global settings
mulit-display is in performance mode

I have no more ideas
any help is muchly apreciated
