I'm overclocking my I5-9600k.

Motherboard:
MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

Liquid Cooler:
Hydro Series™ H80i v2

Here are my current settings:
Fixed Mode Ratio
All Core Apply Ratio Mode
5Ghz
47 Cpu ratio
1.35 Vcore

Cooler Max RPM (Pump/Fan)

My temp is getting to 90c+, any ideas as to why this is? I've seen the same CPU and cooler achieve 5.0Ghz but the vcore was at 1.46.

Note: The temperature is on startup in bios.

did you put away the safe sticker ? did you apply thermalpaste or was it pre- apply ?
also some chips do run hotter than others.

Try what DaveSVK wrote, and make sure the block is well sitted over the CPU and the screws are tight enough.

Other than that I believe thats not a good aio water cooler option to overclock a cpu.

It only have a 120mm radiator, for OC an i5 9600K you should start from 240mm one or up depending on how hard are you going to go with your OC stats.
