15" to 19" Upgrade

Aloha to all...

I've been using a Samsung SyncMaster 151P (the one designed by F.A. Porsche) for about 2 years now....and I have absolutely no complaints....

However I was thinking of getting a 19" for the extra workspace and extra resolution in games....

It seems that specs are not everything, as some monitors are highly speced but perform quiet poorly....so I was hoping for some real world user's experiences...

P.S. Samsung 151P has a response time of only 25ms, however I've never personnaly felt any ghosting in games...but I read many recent reviews on newer monitors with 16ms and 12ms response times...and they've noticed significant ghosting...like the samsung 172X for instance at the tech zone: http://thetechzone.com/computers.php?i=298&p=6

So is this ghosting issue more dependant on the individual's eyes or what??

Did you read the Update part, 01/04/2004?

They got a 25ms version, not 12ms. The ones in the stores should be 12ms. The same thing happend at THG. Read the latest 172X review here

19" LCD are meaningless as they feature the same resolution of a 17" lcd so go for a 17 or a 20 forget the 19 you will pay more for nothing.

Yeah. 19" is like bringing a 17" monitor a bit closer to your face, because the resolution isn't better.

And if you can get 1280x1024 on a 15" then a 17" is meaningless. LOL
You must all have little TV's cause the resolution doesn't change. Just sit real close!
