I know I posted another one of these build threads earlier this year, but I never got around to doing anything about and now that the black friday sales are coming up I figured I might as well try to get some more help from the fine folks at Tom's Hardware.
Approximate Purchase Date: Before the black friday sales sales end.
Budget Range: $1500 - $2000
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming(Xcom, Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo, Bethesda game) and some light office work.
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: Everything but the monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg
Parts Preferences: Intel CPU but I'm up for considering alternatives.
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe
Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments: A good durable case that's not too flashy and I don't have to clean pet hair out of weekly. Also need a good amount of storage for personal files and tax files. User friendly too build as I am a novice PC builder.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: current PC is extremely out dated.
