Hey guys, just wanted to know if this is a good build for me. I play league and wow mostly but looking to play other games like cs go and single player games like arkham knight in the future. Right now i have a 1080p 24 inch monitor 6ms but i really wanted to try 24 inch 1080p 144hz monitor but can't decide whether the one i chose or the asus one that is similar to the benQ. Not interested in any other monitor but those twos.

Also wanted to know if its worth to go for the water cooler instead of the hyper evo fan for the case i picked? And i never used windows 8 before so would windows 7 still be a good choice since i had no problems with it before?

P.s. this is my first pc build but I have done my research for a while

Thanks!

This will play any game you throw at it at 144fps 😀
The only thing i changed that you will actually notice is the ssd and the trade is worth it.

the RAM is also better.

the stock cooler is fine for this CPU

doesn't matter which version of windows you get as windows 10 is coming out within a week. Just get windows 8.

That is a really great build! However, if you are going to overclock with that i5-4690K, I would go for the water cooler. Get the 144hz (I would go for BenQ) monitor if you are planning to play FPS games and if you have the budget to afford for one. If not, then stick with the monitor that you already have since its already good enough for gaming. 😉

And Windows 7 will be just fine if you aren't familiar with Windows 8 since you will still be able to reserve a free upgrade to Windows 10

Thanks for the reply guys! The ssd i may just get on with that since i heard it makes your computer start up and loading much faster. Gtx 980 ti is a lot of power, was thinking of using the 144hz because of wow pvp arena and cs go. I don't play other online competitive games besides those and league so not sure if i really do need a gtx 980 ti over the 970.

@cem boker, thanks! I was wondering though if the difference between all these other benq 24 inch 144hz really matter like the xl2420t and xl2430t compared to the xl2411z. I really using the 144hz for cs go and wow arena high competitve cause i heard it really makes the game looks so smooth. And thank you i did not know the upgrade is free when you have windows 7

If you plan on being really competitive and serious on cs go and other shooters, I would definitely go for the 144hz refresh rate monitors. However, you can also buy it to have an advantage over others since you will be able to react quicker compared to other players. As for the monitors, in terms of specs, all three of these monitors are 24" 1080p 144Hz. Only real difference between them is the exterior design, stand and S-switch.
