$1500~ Gaming Build Advice.

My company is shipping me off in a week and I'm leaving my old PC at home so I'll need a new one so I can spend my lonely nights in a new city playing BF3..

Approximate Purchase Date: This week


Budget Range: Around $1500, pretty flexible.


System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (BF3, BC2, Witcher 2..), photo editing (Lightroom), movies.


Parts Not Required: I need everything, but the $1500 budget is just for the main components and not mouse, keyboard & monitor etc.


Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.ca, ncix.com, directcanada.ca. Whatever is recommended.


Country of Origin: Canada


Parts Preferences: I'd like to use a i5 2500k CPU and Nvidia GPU. Also, I like the Corsair 650D Mid-Tower Case .


Overclocking: Probably once I read about it a bit.


SLI or Crossfire: Maybe later if necessary.


Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080


Additional Comments: I'd just like for it to be able to run BF3 on max (based on estimated specs) and be able to last for a few years. Also, I'm willing to use SSD but I'm not sure if it's worth it or how to set it up.

Thanks Why_Me, that looks really good, I'll probably get something like that. Lol, you are right on the mark for the budget, so thank you very much.

I'm heading to Saskatchewan from Alberta on the 23rd, I was just planning on buying my stuff in the next week or so, so that when I come home for the weekend I can give it to my friend to build. I don't know my future address yet so shipping there is not really an option.
