Nice build, would change the mobo, I won't touch MSI for builds, poor QC, might look at the ASRock Z77 Extreme 4, best rated and selling Z77, also if not looking to SLI in the future could cut back on the PSU, for a 780 a 600 with 42AMPs on the 12 volt rail is sufficient

Why are you choosing a 3570k and Z77 rather than a 4670k and a Z78? Also in my opinion for CPU cooler go with the EVO, then if you want to go water, you can get a custom loop kit for about $200.

im new to the gaming desktops. I feel like oc'ing would be a good idea but I would rather have components good straight out of back. What in my build can be swapped for a non oc build. Also, I am new to building so if 4670k and z78 is better than I would rather use that.

I feel as I would end up SLI in the near future so I added the beefy PSU

Cpu's fine, I'd look at the Z77 Ex 4 I mentioned before, got one when they first came out and figured I'd switch to a Asus ROG mobo but never a reason to, still am using it (3570K at 4.7, 32GB of Trident 2400 sticks, use it same as my Haswell to test components for new builds, upgrades, repairs etc, have had up to 780s in it in SLI, takes all I throw at it

The only suggestion I would have is get a 80 PLUS GOLD PSU that is atleast 750 watts. Also http://pcpartpicker.com/ is your friend.

then the k processor and Z77/87 mobo is not really required and neither is water cooling.
But if you might xfire/sli in the future, you'll need 2 PCI3.0 x16(x8) slots which usually means using a Z77/87 mobo anyway and definitely a 750-800W PSU too.
Although if you get a lower power PSU it might handle it, you don't really want to be running it at 100% all the time, so a bit of headroom is best.

might as well, I did after first saying I wasn't interested in o/c and it's awesome LOL! Makes you feel like you're getting an extra 30-40% performance for $20. Same with GPUs!
