I'm looking for a gaming PC build, and I have a budget of around 1500 bucks.(No monitor or OS.) I'm going to be using this for 1440p gaming on triple A games(games with the highest development budget).

An i7 would probably be better but I personally would go for two GPUs in SLI over an i7 that offers only a little more performance over an i5

I'm really leery on the whole v ram issue with the 970's right now. For the price you could two for, you could buy the 295x2, or the 8 gb 290x, which is 400ish dollars, I just prefer to go with the 980 because you can sli them later, and get better performance. On top of it, a lot of games are finicky with sli'd gpu's such as skyrim.

Thanks! I was planning to just ventilate the case but I was upgrading from an i7 quad core and I already had the custom loop with the GPUs and CPU so i just swapped out the mobo, ram and cpu.
