I'm just wondering, is this near the best I can get for the money? I also don't want to just get a crappy cooler or whatever for cheap. It's nice to be well rounded so that everything works well. Let me know however if I'm spending way too much on unnecessary stuff

Looks like a sweet built to me, only thing I would do is make sure you get the P6T Deluxe and RAM in a combo so you save some money.... At the moment I am at work. Once I get home I will try to come up with something that might help.....

Memory - CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TW3X4G1600C9DHX - Retail

Don't think I quite understand what you're saying here. Way past budget? The 940 will cost less money, probably the 955 as well.

Yeah I worded that wrong. I meant that since I'm already paying around $1400-1500 I might as well just go for the i7. If my budget was more around $1000-1100 I would have went AMD. Not trying to get into an Intel vs AMD war or anything.

Anyways I revised this earlier, tell me what you guys think

The only thing I can't really decide on is the graphics card. However the 4870x2 has a promo code to save $30, and its just seems like for right now it can play anything easily. Then later on I can get another one to Crossfire or whatever, instead of spending way too much on the GTX 295.

You CPU HSF Cooler is not one that is made for the Core i7 processor and you would have to order te extra mounting bracket for $9.98.

I would suggest either of these two below.

Thanks for all the help. I'll tell you how it turned out in case anyone was wondering whether or not to buy some of these

Will that card have any issues fitting in the 900? I would get the Antec 902 just because cable management seems to be a lot easier.

Um..IMO both cases are the same as far as cable management goes. You just need to take time routing, hiding all the cables. The only difference here is that the mobo tray has been moved up for more expansion space and you get a black interior. On top of that it looks like a mini 1200 in my opinion. I have the 902 and I love it, the 900 is not bad at all but the gray interior does not amuse me....And I am not into taking the whole case apart, buying paint, etc....

Yup, I agree. I don't see myself modding a case like some people do on the 900. But I guess some peeps do it as a hobby.

Don't get me wrong, I do mod's on all my cases... But as far as paint goes.... If it is available with an all black interior then I will shell out the extra 20 bucks and save myself the trouble... Now as far as the windows go this is what I do :

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/7122/win-131/Antec_Nine_Hundred_Three_Hundred_Custom_DIY_Bolt-On_Full_Window_Kit_396_x_396mm.html?tl=g42c353s850#blank

And other minor touches like sleeving, cathodes, etc.....Just to keep me busy when I have time to burn....
