hi im looking to build myself a really nice gaming computer and want to hear what you guys think about this layout and if all parts are compatable and any inputs you have would be much appreciated

You have a good start, but I would make a few additions / changes to your list.

1.) 120GB of total disk space is pretty small. You may want to add a traditional hard drive to use as a data warehouse / backup drive.

2.) You selected the 2500 CPU, and mentioned you wanted to overclock. You should look into a K series CPU for overclocking as they are specifically made for overclocking, and only cost about $10 more. If you purchase a K series CPU make sure you buy an aftermarket CPU cooler as well. Toms has many wonderful CPU cooler articles if you want to do the homework yourself, or just ask for suggestions and the community would be happy to help you with some of their favorites.

Pretty much every thing dale said, but I would suggest using a different RAM such as the G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333
Because It has a lower latency of 7 while you is 9 (lower the faster) and also because Sandy Bridge CPUs only support 1066 and 1333 MHz RAMs, so if you get the 1600 MHz, and a defective CPU, your warranty would void and you might have to buy a new one. though the RAM might cost 10$ more, it's faster and just might save you $200+ for a new CPU.

also 2TB might be a bit overated if you are short on budget. get the 1.5TB for 20$ less (also balances out the RAM, AWESOME) besides, you already have the 120GB SSD so that helps out on the difference between .5TB alittle bit ( no, not really)

and last, I would suggest getting a 750w PSU because of overclocking and room for future updates on hardware. (the reason why Tony Stark has arc reactor in his back yard even though the only thing in his house is a bunch of light and some robots)

yea dale i already have a few backup hard drives i will be using and thanks for CPU advice. as well as fover for cooler im just trying to do as good as i can for first build lol

Good list, yeah go for the 2500k instead. I was looking for a monitor in that price range, decided on this one:

Also the HAF X is a great case, but maybe you should get something a bit cheaper and spend a bit more on other components (The RAM Foverosiv suggested, another HDD etc.)
The HAF 932 is great, as is the Silverstone RV03, and the CM 690 II is very highly recommended + great price.

EDIT: Actually just thought I'd say that for what you want to do, it's probably not worth spending any more on RAM. In fact, you probably wouldn't notice a difference when using the PC or a drop in framerate when gaming if you switched to 4GB. And, the RAM you selected is currently $10 off with code EMCKCJH23 so you should probably just go for that. Maybe spend a bit of extra $$$ for a 750w PSU.
