$1500 new build advice - please and TY

Parts Not Required: Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Headset.

Parts Preferences: Intel / Nvidia

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Not at first but later on

Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050

Additional Comments: I enjoy a variety of games but focusing for Bf3.

Here is what I have in my Newegg basket so far. I built a few systems but always with advice of people that know what they are doing.
Thank you for any suggestions and especially not sure if I should get that $50 ram or spring the extra cash for ram that is a lower timing.
Not sure how much that has an effect on gaming performance.

Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB for HDD, on sale this weekend for $49.99.

Go with the cheaper ram, you won't get enough benefit from the faster timings.
Check anandtech.com's article on the sandy bridge memory speeds for more info.

Strictly for gaming, just get the i5 2500k, the difference in gaming is very very small and you save $100.

The Noctua Cooler is arguably the best air cooler around, but you would do quite well with less than half the cost.
Cooler Master Hyper 212+ $26.99 - unless you plan massive overclocks, then the noctua is warranted.

Might consider the Asrock Z68 Extreme 3 or 4 gen3 as the mobo as well.

At your resolution and GTX570 you should not need to resort to SLI for quite some time.

Is there a reason I would want the SATA II HD instead of the SATA III drive when its the same price?

there is no effective difference except for very short-lived burst speeds between SATA 2 and SATA 3 for mechanical hard drives. Mechanical drives cannot saturate SATA 2 interfaces
