I want to build my first ever pc to switch from console gaming. Started out with an 800AUD budget but figured it wasn’t enough for a gaming build. I’m not against buying used parts or buying a full pc, can anybody help me?
(Approximate Purchase Date: 1-6months

Budget Range: 1500-1800AUD (before shipping, but would like to still stay within)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, internet surfing, watching movies

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: N/A (buying)

Do you need to buy OS: Yes
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: avoid dodgy sites please

Location: ACT

Parts Preferences: i7 processed if possible but if other ryzen 5 and at least a GTX 1060

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: I don’t know but I’m guessing 1080p
Additional Comments: easy access for upgrades, quiet and maybe a window and some lights.)

Solution
your monitor is very likely 1080p 60hz from your description.
I will get this:

lots of different builds based on mid-high end CPU's/Gpu's, the rest of the components will be pretty much the same.

I would be looking for anything from a Ryzen 5 1600x and above from AMD, and an Intel i5-8600k or above. GPU wise, anything with a GTX1060 or RX580 and above will be great for gaming @1080p 60hz. Going with systems with better CPU's and GPU's will get anywhere from 20-40% extra performance, but will be limited but the monitor you choose. For 1080p @60hz though, the aforementioned cards will max out pretty much every game, bar 1 or two.
