note that as you move upward of 1080p to 1440p and 4k the cpu matters less in gaming (most of the time).
intels are more expensive than usual with serious supply issues. the ryzens are good, especially 2000 series, and from a price to performance perspective. I don't think you'd be disappointed with the ryzen - the 2600 is really the price to performance winner at the moment.
