Hey guys, I just wanted to know if a 150W PSU should run an i3-10100 under load. Thanks in advance! By the way, I am only running a nvme drive and ram while using the iGPU from the i3.
This one: https://www.in-win.com/en/pc-power-supply/ip-ad-series-a/APACWhich 150w PSU?
Theoretically, it would be fine with just CPU/NVME/MB/RAM. Won't leave you much headroom at all, but will depend on the specific PSU.
I believe that's the one that ships with the CHOPIN case. Not aware of any reviews on the PSU specifically, but can't imagine it would be terrible.
Yeah, I was going to get a bigger case but I just can't. I will be traveling a lot and I need a case that can attach to my monitor as I will have limited desk space. I'll try to run it on 150W and hopefully, it will be fine.I used the outervision calculator and a few assumptions on the ram and drive. It states your on load max is 131W. Recommends just over 180W
I am fairly sure that InWin makes a newer version similar to the Chopin with a larger 200-something W PSU. I wish I could recall the model number...but was recommended in an updated "cheap office PC" build on YouTube by the same guy that did the cheap Chopin build.
I would suggest that if you like the case enough to try it, it will likely be fine for office task and such. Worse comes to worse you can always find a replacement or go with the power brick adapter (external) for something better.
