Looking for a quality 15mm range for the American Revolution. I know of Essex
and Old Glory ranges; are there any others worth looking at?

How do you know how to paint them?
What resource are you using?
Which campaigns are you gaming?
I want to create an army as well. Informaton is either scarce or too much.

Musket Miniatures is pehaps the best range in this period. While I like
OG/19th Century as well, Musket packageing allows me to buy individual
regiments for 1:20/25. They also have Brigade packs. Brigade packs have a
mix of Infantry, Artillery, and a General.

Unlike OG which does the old 100 figs in every bag (which is why they are
cheaper), Musket sells 18 fig Hessians and French, 12 fig Americans and
British as appropriate. Perfect if you are using most rules from the period
in the most common scale.
